Our class did inquiry in groups on the following questions:
What makes me special
What makes our whanau special
What makes Riverslea School Special
Each group took the following steps:
A brainstorm using inspiration on IPADS
Then did "Te Mahi" group poster on information for their question
Then using Comic life on IPAdS collated information
Groups then shared work done with senior students in the school for their reflection
Then students completed an individual assessment of the Inquiry experience for them
Student reflection:
Voice of Crysire-Jade I think inquiry is fun, we get to work with others and at our own pace. It was hard doing the interviews because I shy. Next time I try harder.
Wednesday 2 July:
We had Nan and Papa day… The school welcomed them and sang some waiata… Then they came to our classrooms to present our “Duffy Books”… They then had a hangi for lunch
Crysire-Jades’s thoughts: It was a neat day to have all the Nans and Papas at school… they looked real happy to see all the things that happen at school.. Matariki

•How do we celebrate Matariki?
•How can we share our Matariki celebrations with the community?

3. We worked through each question as a whole class
4.We took lots of photos and placed them on display
5.Then students completed an individual assessment of the Inquiry experience for them
